Face of Global Sex Report 2012

10/25/2012 by Admin

Malaysian youths who are still studying or remain in an academic environment are more likely to postpone their first sexual experience, according to a survey.

The ‘Face of Global Sex Report 2012′ by Durex said that young people in Malaysia on average would encounter their first sexual experience at 23 and receive sexual education from the age of 15, compared to the average age of 12 in countries like Austria, Germany and Mexico.

The study also showed that Malaysia was one of the countries that practiced safe sex, with a ranking of 13th among 37 countries surveyed globally.

“The results show that despite being exposed to sex education at a later date, Malaysians are highly aware of safe sex practices,” Nikhilesh Kalra, strategic commercial director at Reckitt Benckiser Malaysia and Singapore, was quoted saying in a statement issued by Durex Thursday.

“It also shows that Malaysians are generally responsible when practicing sex, and this is an encouraging and healthy sign in the society,” he said.

The report indicated that Malaysians were most likely in the region to use condoms in their first sexual experience.

The survey, which reached out to over 29,000 respondents, found that those who used condom in their first sexual experience were more likely to continue to practice safe sex measures. – Bernama

Cops recover stolen Porsche Panamera

10/23/2012 by Admin

The RM900,000 Porsche Panamera that was driven out of a showroom in Jalan Bukit Bintang has been recovered.

Police found the car near a condominium in Seri Kembangan on Monday.

“It is still in good condition,” said City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah.

“We have taken the sports car back to the city police headquarters for further investigations,” he said yesterday.

The car went missing 11 days earlier after a well-dressed man walked into the showroom and pretended to be looking for someone.

He then drove the Porsche away.

He has since been under remand. The 31-year-old man claimed that he was paid RM30,000 to steal the car and deliver it to someone else.

Police believe there was a link to another theft of a luxury car in Cheras. In that incident, an Audi R8, worth around RM560,000, was stolen from a showroom there on Sept 6, using the same modus operandi.

The Porsche Panamera is a four-door saloon which was unveiled at the Shanghai Automobile Show in China in 2009.

It is Porche’s first luxury saloon car and is marketed as a higher performing alternative to other executive saloon cars.
